Video Poker Tips and Tricks

Out of all the Video Poker Tips and Tricks for online gamblers, whether they are new or seasoned veterans, education is the key - and that is your number one tip of the day. If you are not educating yourself on all the rules of the game before you place your first bet, then you are not only wasting your time - but you are wasting your money as well. Fortunately it's easy to educate yourself on the rules of the game and special strategies to employ while playing. Indeed, the internet is literally saturated with all kinds of websites and tutorials that can take you from being a newbie to an experienced player in no time.
Another trick for video poker players is to always look for the best prices and deals. These days there are thousands of online gambling websites to choose from, but not all of them are going to give you the same kind of winning opportunities. For that reason, it literally pays to do your research and read the reviews on different online gambling websites. Some websites are not so reputable and you'll end up losing your money faster than you could burn it. On the other hand, there are a lot of gambling sites that offer very fair opportunities to win - and the savviest of gamblers can actually make money consistently with them. These are the kinds of sites you want to find, so read the reviews and find out which ones provide more chances to win.
Your next tip is to pick the best kinds of games. Some games can offer you a better chance to win over other games. Some video poker games, for example, are a lot of fun to play and a lot of people think they are great, but they have no kind of guarantee on winning. Some, on the other hand, can offer you a more consistent chance of winning, so it's often better for you to spend your time honing your ability to win on the ones that have a better chance of winning, even if they are less entertaining - you'll be better off in the end.
Making a budget, is a trick that shouldn't even need to be said - but you'd be surprised how many people don't. If you bet and lose your money faster than you can earn it at your job, then your gambling career (or your ability to own a home and a car) will come to an abrupt end very quickly. A budget will ensure your gambling activities stay fun and don't eat into your grocery money. It will also allow you to bet within your limits so that you can lengthen the amount of playing time, and better your winning chances.
Your final tip is this: don't be a greedy gambler. In life and business, the greedy person can fall into the trap of losing the important faculty of reason. If you have been losing over and over again, then perhaps it's time to take a break. After losing so many times, a person might think that if they bet a higher amount, then there will be a chance of winning the money back. But this can be a slippery slope. The same is true for someone on a winning streak. You might think you'll keep winning, so you bet more and more and then suddenly end up losing everything you've gained. Don't get caught up in the fever of betting more and more. Always stay within your limits no matter what.

How to Win in Poker - 5 Tips to Have Fun and Win More in Poker

Poker is one of the fun and exciting games you can enjoy in a casino table. Even if you are only observing the game, you can even feel the thrills and excitement of getting good wins, good bluffing skills and all those poker faces. If you want to learn poker, and also learn how to win in poker, read on for some tips.
1. Watch where you sit.
One of the first and easiest tips to keep in mind on how to win in poker is to watch where your sit. In the poker table, you can be in the early, middle or late position, depending on where the blind is. The early position are usually those at the left of the blinds and if you are in this position, it may be a little difficult for you to build your strategy and watch other players.
On the other hand, if you have been playing poker and you pretty knew some of your opponents, it is also wise to chose where to sit among the rest of the poker players. If you can choose your seat, make sure that the aggressive opponents are on your right side, where you can gauge your decision and read their moves. It can also be advantageous to have a beginner on your right. Although he may not be that aggressive when it comes to raising and re-raising, you can however manipulate him if you get to see his moves and most importantly, his mistakes.
2. Set your limits. Don't play too many hands. One of the wise tips on how to win in poker is not to gamble at every hand. Wait for better hands or better opportunities to bluff. Sometimes you may feel bored of folding and waiting for a better hand, and that is when discipline and self-control comes in.
3. Learn money management. If you want to explore the fun and excitement in poker, and in any gambling games, it is important that you have learned the skill to manage your money. If you want to have fun, don't put all your eggs in one basket. If you have been into a series of losses, learn how to say enough and know when to stop to avoid more losses.
4. Check your emotions. If you want to play poker, have fun and win, don't play when you are emotionally upset or you just a had a bad day. Emotions can cloud your rational and wise thinking and that can be difficult to handle in a poker game. Before risking your money, try to avoid the game if you are emotionally stressed or angry, or drunk.
5. Forget the bluff if you can't handle it. Bluffing makes the poker game a little bit more exciting especially if you can pull it off very well. Of course, bluffing needs skills as well. You have to master it to make a big win from it.

The Growth of Online Poker Continues

As recently as 20 years ago, poker was a game which was known and played primarily around kitchen tables at home, and in a few scattered casino card rooms. In the last couple of decades, poker has started to grow quickly, and now in the internet era online poker has become wildly popular.
Poker's meteoric rise began when famous poker tournaments such as the World Poker Tour and The World Series Of Poker began televising some of their final tournament tables. When players saw real poker players competing for millions of dollars on TV, they became intrigued with the game and many wanted to learn more, and play themselves.
Soon online poker rooms began opening to help meet that need, and online poker was an immediate and resounding success. Online poker rooms offered players a way to learn the poker basics while putting little or nothing at risk. Many players took advantage of the free play with pretend money which poker sites offer, and then progressed to real money play as they grew confident in their skills.
One such player was named Chris Moneymaker. He is known today worldwide as a poker celebrity, but back in 2003 he was just an average guy who put up $40 to enter an online poker tournament. He was just learning the game and mainly played to have fun, but it soon became a major payday for him as well. Moneymaker used that $40 to enter a satellite tournament to the World Series Of Poker. He won that small tournament, which secured him entry into one more tournament. With his win in the second tourney, he was given a prize package which included not only cash but also a seat in the famed $10,000 buy in event at the WSOP.
Moneymaker went on to win the WSOP with that entry, and took home 2.5 million dollars as a result. When his success story became public, people all over the world became fascinated with poker, and the opportunities online poker can give. Even those who were dedicated casino poker players started playing online, because the tournament and live game offering were so good.
Online poker offers a chance to play a fun and interesting game from the comfort of your home. It can be considerably less expensive to play online, and it's even possible to take a small stake and turn it into really big money. Chris Moneymaker was the first to do it, but thousands of winning online players have now followed his example and some have even retired on their online poker winnings.
Both new and experienced online poker players have learned about another advantage of online poker play: free poker money. Many online casinos offer sign up bonuses which can be as much as $600 or more! Most of these bonuses are given as a deposit directly into your poker account. Sometimes, you can even get a 100% match of your deposit amount. That means whatever you deposit, the online casino will match.
Online poker offers many opportunities to home players, and this has helped it to continue to skyrocket in popularity. There is no other way that you can play poker from home, as you sit in your pajamas, at any hour of the night or day. You can be a high roller and play for big bucks or you can start small and turn a little money into a big bankroll. Good luck, and see you at the tables!

New No Deposit Poker US Players

Poker is an international card game not restricted to a particular area. Players of all ages and countries can play this game online or offline. Even though players can play online, some poker rooms offer opportunities only to players of few countries. Gambling services in the United States have a restriction, that is why only a few sites allow Americans to play poker. Some of the sites which allow Americans to play poker are: PokerStars, Party Poker, Walker Poker etc.
Even though it's legal to exercise gambling under federal law, some of the reputed social welfare organizations feel that gambling can restrict players and make them addicted. Everywhere in USA you can find gambling casinos, starting from bingo at church to the multinational poker tournaments; gambling is prevalent everywhere.
No Deposit Poker Rooms are those that help a player earn money online without spending any money. Free no deposit bonuses are offered by websites to allow players play games without any restriction. Some allow US players to play while some of them don't. The United States has legalized online poker rooms, saying that only poker rooms obeying its law should allow US players. If an online casino doesn't have an US license, it doesn't allow a US player to enter.
No deposit poker bonuses are limited to new poker rooms. Legislation in United States has lead to a situation in which US players are not allowed to play in these new rooms any more. There are few new rooms that allow US players to get no deposit bonuses. Bankroll Mob is a new US friendly poker room. It allows a virgin poker player to get a decent sum. Walker poker is also a US friendly poker room that allows an individual to gain money from a poker quiz. This offer is restricted to the first 20000 members. Pit Bill poker also offers no deposit bonuses to US players.

The Angle Shooter!

No, I'm not referring to a new shooting angle with my webcam here; nor am I talking about shooting at the nearest shooting range; nor about pool playing angles; I am talking about that set of actions undertaken by clever cheats which occupy a strange gray area in the game of poker.
Angle shooting is engaging in actions that may technically be within the scope of the rules of the game, but that are considered unethical or unfair to exploit or take advantage of another player. For example, an angle shooter might motion as if he were folding his hand to induce other poker players to fold theirs out of turn.
Like the time when I was playing this online poker tourney where there were these two players who were taking 20-30 seconds every time it was their turn to play. They did it every single time as if they were in cahoots. One of them was continuously chatting in some foreign language and the other was constantly aiming abuse at the pot-winning participant, including me. Is the slow playing taking it away from me, I wondered....I figured the only advantage he was getting was by aggravating and angering everyone on the poker table and put a couple of them on tilt even.
Look at another setting: Arin, my friend, was at a showdown while playing on one of the top poker sites and this guy deliberately miscalls his hand - probably with the intention of influencing Arin who may have had a better hand, to muck! I mean, Arin had top pair, and Mr. Miscaller very likely had a lower pair, but he declares on the chat, "I have the straight"
Arin folds in anger and frustration. The whole table realized that Mr. Miscaller was lying but it was no use - Arin had folded a winner, the angle shooter guy took the nice big pot!
As per Wiki, yet another form of angle shooting which is pretty exclusive to online poker is to abuse the disconnect protection (DP) rules most internet poker sites have in place. Disconnect Protection is a rule exclusive to online poker rooms whereby if a player is disconnected from the site in the middle of the hand his hand is played out as if he were all-in without the player actually having to put any more money in the pot. The online poker rooms that offer DP usually have specific tables set aside for this so that all players at the table are aware that the special DP rules will apply. How this is used by angle shooters is if a player is in a hand that he is unsure if he has the best cards and doesn't want to invest any more money to find out. He can unplug his internet connection and then wait for the hand to play itself out. On a DP table the remaining cards in the hand would be dealt and the pot would be awarded to the player with the best cards. If there were multiple opponents in the hand then he would be eligible for a side pot, of course!
Angle shooting is done to manipulate your opponents and gain an unfair edge in the game. And they are mostly lacking in evidence since the intention can never be proved and the defaulter can get away with it pretending or claiming that it was a legit error. Make sure that you observe and mark the pattern of such angle shooters clearly. You will find that inadvertently they will repeat their tactics and then you have them. File a complaint with the online poker site that you are playing on, or stay away from these compulsive cheaters.
There is no stopping the cheater who wants to have a go at his techniques - he will constantly re-invent himself and try staying a step ahead of normal honest players.
Like the old poker story goes: "Stop cheating!" the dealer told the card player. "I'm not!" claimed the player. "You must be," said the dealer. "That is not the hand that I dealt you."
